How do I tell them I can't afford to buy a car?

I don%26#039;t have a car and can%26#039;t afford one anytime in the future. I don%26#039;t really have a problem with it though as I walk or take public transport and live near most of the stuff I need. However, when people , especially potential dates hear that I don%26#039;t have a car, they start giving suggestions on where I can get a good deal or financing, etc. The simple fact is that I cannot afford a car and my credit is overcharged and not good so financing is out. I can%26#039;t afford any payments or insurance either. Getting a car is out for me and not really an issue in my life but I keep getting people trying to pressure me into buying one or trying to get me to buy a friends car. I don%26#039;t want to be rude to them as they are only trying to help, but how do I tell them, I can%26#039;t afford any car?

just tell them that you don%26#039;t have a car because it cost to much to drive them . and that it is cheaper for you to take the bus.

How do I tell them I can%26#039;t afford to buy a car?

Ask them why is it so important to have a car, when you%26#039;re doing a fine job of simply not having one at all.

If they say something that%26#039;s not what you want to hear, maybe you should look for someone that respects that you can%26#039;t afford it and it%26#039;s something you have easily adapted to.
