Know anything about the real price for new car warranties?

Someone in the car business recently told me the finance guys at the car lots get something like 40% for the extended warranty price as profit for them. I was told if the extended warranty is say for example $1,800, you can say you will only purchase it for $900. The finance guy probably will do the deal, because he still gets some sort of kick back for every extended warranty he sales.

What I really need to know is real world experience for working out a price for the extended warranty, and how much play you actually have.

If they say the extended warranty is x, should I say I will only pay 1/2 of x?

Thanks

Know anything about the real price for new car warranties?

Yes most warranties are marked up about $1000, and yes he may accept the lower offer, but he also may not, because his payplan may require him to average a certain amout of profit.

Example

avg$1000 profit and get 15%

avg$800 profit and get 12%

avg$500 profit and get 10%

so taking a lower price may actually cost him money(the % are not just for that 1 transaction but all money he earned for the month). The owner sets this payplan so that his finance manager does not give the produst away.

You can offer anything you want to. It does not mean they will accept it. That is the beauty of living in a free country.

What is the best car for a family of 5?

Three children in car seats. (Must be roomy)

Good financing options.

What is the best car for a family of 5?

Any Mini van with captain chairs in the middle, the Hummer would not hold 3 carseats and two adults

The Domestics have really good rebates going on now

What is the best car for a family of 5?

Ford taraus is the safest family car rating it has room for your needs and has good financing options.Good Luck

What is the best car for a family of 5?

It is very difficult to do 3 car seats in the same row. I can do it but it is very tight and I drive a Chevy Suburban. This vehicle is one of the largest on the road and will not meet your environmentally friendly/ good gas mileage criteria.

That leaves you with cars with 3 rows of seating. So, you are looking at mini-vans, some small SUVs, and that is about it.

I would look at the new Chrysler mini-van- it has the life-time warranty and has great safety. Mini-vans typically do about 20mpg on average, the Honda and Toyota will do a little better than that but cost more and will not have sales incentives typically.

Check whatever you are looking at against the auto safety ratings at Crashtest.com. Safety is always a priority with 3 little ones!

Good luck

What is the best car for a family of 5?

I%26#039;m guessing you%26#039;re in the states, right?

Unfortunately, good gas mileage and large family vehicle aren%26#039;t synonymous here. Your best bet would either be a minivan (Can%26#039;t go wrong with a Dodge Caravan or a Chrysler Town and Country), but I think a worthy choice would be a Mazda 5 or Kia Rondo.

Can you go to another car dealership if you get disaproved at the other?

I went to Toyota and they told me that they could not finance me for the car I wanted because of my credit. The thing is I have a car from Toyota and it is about paid off. My credit report is showing where I had 11 late payments. That is not the case. I am disputing that right now with the credit agency. I wanted the Toyota Corolla LE, and they said no, that they could get me in the base model which is the CE. I don%26#039;t want base model. The only reason I am wanting to trade my car in right now is because it has 193,000 miles on it and I am having a few problems. And I need somthing more gas efficient. Can I go to another Toyota dealership and try to deal with them or is it all the same? Thanks

Can you go to another car dealership if you get disaproved at the other?

You can have any dealership rerun your application. Keep in mind that the more inquiries into your credit, the lower it makes your score. You may want to get preapproval from a bank or finance company for the amount you need, then go to the dealership. The finance companies that most dealerships use are for people with risk credit anyway. Be aware that the dealership may get you approved, but it may be at a high APR (15-18%).

Also, dealerships in different towns may vary in price on a vehicle by several thousand dollars. Shop around.

Can you go to another car dealership if you get disaproved at the other?

YES!!!!!!!!!!

They can%26#039;t stop you nor can they tell you where to shop...... There are banks out there that work with people who have %26quot;challanged%26quot; credit. I have really bad credit myself and was able to get pre approval from Capital One

Can you go to another car dealership if you get disaproved at the other?

Going to another dealership won%26#039;t help since all the financing goes through the same place when you are going through dealership financing. In fact, when they run your credit they will see that you went to another Toyota Dealership.

Probably the best thing you could do to put yourself in a better bargaining position is come up with a bigger down. Also clear up the late payment issue. The bigger down might be the quickest fix.

On EBay there are ebooks for about $5.00 that instruct you on credit repair.

Good luck. I hope you get the car you want.

Can you go to another car dealership if you get disaproved at the other?

As the previous poster said, the more inquiries into your credit, the worse it is for you. If you applied for a toyota, I am assuming that they went right to Toyota. If you go to another Toyota dealership, they will simply put your application through Toyota again, thus getting another denial. Ask if they will try your app in another bank.

Also, it can be easier to get financed for a lease than a purchase. Ask your salesperson about it. Your salesperson has already seen your credit with Toyota, and they can recommend your next best bet.

Best of luck!

Can you go to another car dealership if you get disaproved at the other?

Lets face facts, your credit is blemished, and I fully understand that these things happen and don%26#039;t need an explanation as the lender is only interested in facts, nothing else.

Go anywhere else and the new lender will know you been turned down by whom.

I want you to understand how a dealer deals with credit and how it works, go to this web page on my website for an understanding

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

I have fairly poor credit, in the upper 400%26#039;s, and I wish to buy/lease a new car. So I guess I have two questions. With poor credit, (I don%26#039;t want to rely on anyone else for their credit unless I have to), is it possible to actually get a decent loan or deal from a car dealer on a new lease or finance of a new car? And is leasing actually worth it? I like the idea of getting a new car every so often but then again I don%26#039;t want to pour a ton of money into something that I almost assuredly will not buy at the end. Thanks to all who answer :)

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

with your poor credit you%26#039;ll probalby get a high interest loan at best. With a rating in the high 400%26#039;s you%26#039;ll most likely need a co-signer. Take some time to build your credit before buying a car. If you tried getting a loan with your rating it%26#039;ll probably be in the high 20%26#039;s.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

Sure. You need cash and lots of it. Problem Solved. Your welcome

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

no

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

Youll get screwed, dont listen to the pay 100$ a month commercials, i went in with same credit as you and they put a 670$ monthly payment on my new ford fusion.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

yeah, but a good interest rate want be easy. Get a co signer for the loan.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

If you go through a dealer, you%26#039;re going to get effed. Try joining a credit union and getting a loan through them. You%26#039;ll still get effed....but not as much. My credit union has 10% interest for people with awful credit.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

you will probably be wasting a lot of money with bad finance rates unless maybe someone with good credit can cosign for you.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

NO.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

invest your money in something that will make you money.....do you really need a new car or will a used one be of equal value.....sure you can make money with a new car but also with a used one providing you treat it right it will pay for itself and you can use whatever other money you get from that to buy other things .....yes among them a newer car.....newer

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

As I know leasing needs better credit then loan%26#039;s! I would try a loan avoid payday loan dealers! Keep trying ever loan place!

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

I had the exact same situation bout 2 years ago..They said I COULD buy it in my name but it would end up costing me thousands more in intrest so I put it in someone else%26#039;s name..I%26#039;d just go talk to someone they will try hard to sell you a car and work with you cause they want the sale but be careful cause your prob gonna get a much higher rate

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

Best to buy from an individual..........take over notes.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

No one, No one, No one... (Alicia Keys) No one is going to lease you a car--Forget about it--you need very good credit for a lease..

Yes, you can probably still buy a new car, but yes you are going to get screwed---

You will pay a very high interest rate--When it is all over you will be rolling around in a Honda, but will have paid for a Benz.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

Well, I would try to find someone I know selling a car. But, I%26#039;m sorry to say it, but poor credit will haunt you for a good while. I wouldn%26#039;t lease. It will never be yours, so there%26#039;s no fun in %26#039;buying%26#039; the car. I would definitely buy. But, I wouldn%26#039;t look for something too far out of my league. You%26#039;ll be surprised at the quality (certified) pre-owned vehicles you can find for cheap. Good Luck!

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

It may be hard for you to get a loan, period. If you can, you%26#039;ll probably end up with a high interest rate.

Never lease a car. Never ever. Leases are only a good deal for the dealership.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

If your credit is that bad, and you are still looking for a way to finance a new car, I can see why you%26#039;re credit is that bad.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

No, it%26#039;s not worth it. Save up and buy a used vehicle. The high interest rates will kill you.

You do need to rebuild your credit. Perhaps, finance 20% of the used vehicle purchase amount and pay that on time. regardless of what rate they give you. This will help you on your next purchase and improve your credit score!

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

A shaky credit score will mean your payments will be higher because you haven%26#039;t shown that you are responsible with paying your debts. You would also charge a higher interest rate if you were loaning money...you%26#039;re not getting screwed... you are just paying for your mistakes...

I%26#039;d forget about a new car and buy a cheaper used car, pay the loan on time and next time you%26#039;ll get a better deal.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

I think you already know the answer to this..

You can get credit but at a God aweful rate.

Sounds like you dont have money so you are going to get a very high rate to make up for people who have bad credit ratings that default on their loans. Trust me, thats how they make up for losses from high risk loans.

I would borrow the money from a friend or family and pay them back. The interest wont be there. You can agree to pay your family or friend money ontop of what they paid you.

You might as well throw yourself in a pool of sharks that feed on money if you try to get a loan, if you do, hope so, but you will pay through the nose.

Good luck.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

See what kind of rate you can get from your local credit union. If you need to finance a car I wouldn%26#039;t buy or lease a new car. Go for a reliable Toyota or Honda that is a few years old.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

good luck it is very hard to get anything without good credit you may be able to get a loan easier if u have a co-signer i personally would never lease I have always owned that way I dont have to worry about waisting my money or worring about having full coverage or crashing the car

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

There are banks that will loan you money for higher rate than the average bear, Usually around10% with a down payment of $2000.00. Lease the car for 3 yrs then turn in for a new car and now you have good credit, work a new deal.RIDE!!! Good luck.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

I used to sell cars and I%26#039;ll tell you if you%26#039;re credit%26#039;s as bad as you think it is, you%26#039;ll almost have to have a co-signer, and even then you won%26#039;t get that good a rate.

The less you have to finance the better off you%26#039;ll be, which I guess goes without saying, but if you are able to make it happen, make sure that you pay on time (at the very least no more than 30 days late on your payments) so that you can raise your credit score.

As far as leasing, it%26#039;s really not for most people, usually only for people like real estate agents or the like that use there vehicle as a part of their work, which probably isn%26#039;t you, so I wouldn%26#039;t bother with the lease option.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

I would go into a credit union first. You don%26#039;t have to use a dealership at all. Go to a bank get approve for set amount. Then look for the car that fits the loan you are approved for. Leasing on low dollar car is not worth it. I would buy a new Kia or Hundai, they are good on gas, dependable. And start at $9,999. NEW Good luck

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

You%26#039;re better off paying cash then. Or simply put lots of money for down payment. Everybody needs to feel secure about you paying them for that car. I personally wouldn%26#039;t recommend a lease for you. Neither would I recommend getting a brand new vehicle. It will depreciate in value faster than anything else. Lease is good for people who have business to have a write off at the end of the year. Take additional 6 months (if possible) And finance a TV or something over $500. It will improve your score a bit. Good luck!

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

First off, cars depreciate anyway - if you buy a car now 3 yrs later it will be worth about half the price you paid so don%26#039;t think of buying a car as an investment. Just think of it this way - if you can afford to change your car every 3-4 years then try to lease it if not then buy. Also, if you think you%26#039;ll afford to change your car 3-4 yrs from now then again try to lease it now because your payment will be lower now and that will help you out.

As for your credit - try a car that sells a lot, like a Honda civic. If the manufacturer wants to unload the cars then they will be more willing to finance you. You%26#039;ll probably have to pay a higher interest rate but you%26#039;ll be on your way to building your credit. Shop around for the car/price, find someone who wants to work with you, set the selling price then let them try to get your lease or purchase approved. Do NOT let random dealers run your credit because that will KILL your chances of getting an approval. Also know that banks might be more willing to let you buy the car then to lease it and of course the more money you put down the higher your chances of getting approved. Good Luck.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

with a 400 to 550 score you can%26#039;t get a loan without a cosigner. period!

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

yes

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

I think to lease a car you will need good to excellent credit. In your case you might not even qualify for leasing.

And there%26#039;s no way for you to not get %26quot;screwed%26quot; by financing, unless someone with good credit is willing to co-sign for you. You might not even be able to finance even.

If I were you I%26#039;d just shell out cash and buy a cheap car.

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

If you have been looking for some great ideas, Here is the place you should have a look.http://carloan.featured-resources.info/u...

With poor credit, is getting a new car possible without getting screwed?

Define decent. Obviously you%26#039;ve failed to pay back the loans that you%26#039;ve recieved in the past. Try paying your bills for awhile to improve your credit rating. By the way, if you do have the cash to put down, try on a rate in the 20-30% range. The best advice is to stop buying things you can%26#039;t afford.

I need a new or slightly used car but i only make 800 a month. is it possible to get a car?

I dont have a co-signer. i owe money on two credit cards around 500 each. and i dont pay any other bills. is it possible to get financed for a decent car?

Where is a good place to get a car and what is a good car to look into?

I need a new or slightly used car but i only make 800 a month. is it possible to get a car?

If you want to buy a high quality car with a lowest price for the most reliable,I suggest you try auto auctions.

There are there kinds of car auctions.

Dealer only auctions --- only licensed dealers are allowed to buy or sell cars,You can not get in or bid without being a licensed car dealer or an employee.

Public auctions --- the public is allowed in.In fact, you usually cant by anything from public %26#039;open%26#039; auctions because usually the pricing is too high.

Government and Police auctions --- Every day, the government confiscates, seizes and repossesses thousands of Vehicles. These vehicles are usually typically listed at 90% OFF their original value and auctions usually start at $100.

Two months ago,I bouht a near new SUV from online police auction. It only cost me $730 and i have not had one problem with it yet .

I followed the guide on

http://www.usedcarsinfo.info/index.php?t... .That site lists top 5 Police auction sites and help you choose the best one.

Hope that can help you.

Sounds like you are staring down the barrel of a KIA my friend. The dealers around here will give anyone with a job, $199, and no self respect a brand new KIA. Pay off the Cards first, it will help greatly.

I need a new or slightly used car but i only make 800 a month. is it possible to get a car?

Nope. You do not meet the minimum income requirements of any lenders.

Save cash %26amp; buy a cash car.

Does a HPI check on a car require that you have the chassis number???

And if so why?

Is there any other car serial numbers which are required?

What if a HPI turns up unpaid finance on a used car? What are the implications for the new buyer?

Can the dealer DECLINE to give the chassis number of a car over the phone?

Thanks

Does a HPI check on a car require that you have the chassis number???

This is the cheapest site to do a check for you

https://www.mycarcheck.com/

They don%26#039;t need the chassis number just the reg number

Unpaid finance means the car belongs to the finance company and they may or may not agree to sell it to you.

The dealer doesn%26#039;t have to give you a chassis number but if he didn%26#039;t that would be so suspicious that you should walk away from the deal

.

Does a HPI check on a car require that you have the chassis number???

I believe you only need the registration number.

%26quot;For an instant check, all you need initially are the vehicle registration mark (VRM) and your credit card details.%26quot;

Does a HPI check on a car require that you have the chassis number???

A VIN or Vehicle Identification Number is required by law. If you buy a vehicle you need one that matches what the DVLA has on record or it may be a %26#039;ringer%26#039; or car made from two write off cars welded together. No a dealer should be honest enough to allow you a Chassis number to check on. If they refuse there is something dodgy!!!

The implications for a new buyer of a car with unpaid finance would be repossession of the vehicle. You lose the money, the car and you get nothing!

Does a HPI check on a car require that you have the chassis number???

Don%26#039;t even go there don%26#039;t ever even think about it.

You will end up with a can of Worms that you will pay for for a long long time.

Does a HPI check on a car require that you have the chassis number???

I did HPI check on a car through the AA they only needed the registration

Does a HPI check on a car require that you have the chassis number???

All you need for an HPI check is the registration number. The dealer can, and should, decline to give the chassis number over the %26#039;phone to avoid %26#039;cloning%26#039; of the car on his forecourt.

Does a HPI check on a car require that you have the chassis number???

WELL YES..!!!..AS THAT IS THE VEHICLES DETAILS..with out them its a lump of metal....or what is the point of the check???? .....numbers have to tally all the way....or what is the point of reg and other numbers.....????

New Car Incentive Comparison?

I want to review the makes and models that are providing 0% interest financing options on new cars in the US. Does anyone know of a site that makes it easy to see all of the manufacturers incentives?

New Car Incentive Comparison?

Edmunds.com has all the incentives listed by manufacturer.

Do I have to legally pay off my car loan if the dealer sent me the title?

I purchased a used car from a dealership and got financing through the bank. 2 weeks after signing all of the papers and paying my down payment I received the vehicle%26#039;s title in the mail.

I was just wondering if I had to finish paying off the car loan even though the bank does not have the title.

Do I have to legally pay off my car loan if the dealer sent me the title?

The dealership obviously sent you the title so you can transfer it into your name. Go do it. If you don%26#039;t pay, the bank will repo the car and make the dealership buy it back.

Do I have to legally pay off my car loan if the dealer sent me the title?

Try it and see what happens. They have you by the b*lls on this one. No judge in the world will rule in your favor because of a misprint on the paper work. Then it will go on your credit report for the next several years.

BAD IDEA. Just pay what you know you owe.

Do I have to legally pay off my car loan if the dealer sent me the title?

Yes. Title should show a lien holder (the bank). If not, you still owe the bank the money, they will gladly ruin your credit if you don%26#039;t pay.

Do I have to legally pay off my car loan if the dealer sent me the title?

Yes you must repay the loan even if you hold the title.

Do I have to legally pay off my car loan if the dealer sent me the title?

Your bank is stupid for sending you the title before the vehicle is paid off. I%26#039;d talk to an attorney and see what they say, because if you have the title you can legally sell it and profit unless you%26#039;re upsidedown in your trade.

Do I have to legally pay off my car loan if the dealer sent me the title?

Your credit score will die. For sure.

They might repossess the vehicle too.

Definitely not a smart thing to do.

Do I have to legally pay off my car loan if the dealer sent me the title?

pay very close attention to the middle of the title. There will be a section that states the %26quot;lein holder%26quot; This would be the bank or whomever loaned you the money to buy the car.

Just because you have the title doesn%26#039;t mean you own it.

Sorry.

Do I have to legally pay off my car loan if the dealer sent me the title?

they probably sent you the title so you could get your car plated. but I%26#039;m sure if you look on the title somewhere there is a place that has a lean. also the bank which would hold the lean will make sure you pay.

Do I have to legally pay off my car loan if the dealer sent me the title?

In some states, the lender doesn%26#039;t hold the title, but it listed as the lienholder of record. It%26#039;s also possible the lender screwed up and sent you the title by mistake. Yes, you signed a contract and have to keep making payments. You could alsways call the lender and ask them.

Is it means that I can get the car when I paid the deposit to the dealer?

Dealer asked me to pay $5XX as the deposit to lease a car. And I paid it. Is it means that I am qualified to lease the car by the dealer with their criteria? Can dealer dispute the transaction by the reason of credit (They are not given the reject nor approval). Instead, they asked me to finance to buy the car at a higher monthly payment rather than lease the car at a lower rate. I checked my credit report and found that my credit is in a good stand. Only thing is my length of credit history is 12 months. Is this fact can be a reason of rejection? I have 2 credit cards of $500 limit, one is secured one, and another is normal one.

Is it means that I can get the car when I paid the deposit to the dealer?

Dealers always want to try to swindle you into something that means a bigger profit for them. Stick with what you want.

Is it means that I can get the car when I paid the deposit to the dealer?

Typically, credit requirements to lease a vehicle are more strict than financing a car. Though your credit score might be great (730+), you don%26#039;t have any history built up basically showing that you pay your bills. Also, your debt to income ratio plays a big role as well. You probably can%26#039;t get approved for the lease that you want the way it is currently structured, however you probably can get approved to finance at a slightly higher than normal interest rate.

Depending on your local laws, the dealer can use their best judgment by looking at your credit history to determine the best course of action. Sometimes they will know that a customer has no chance to get approved for the amount they want to finance and the dealer won%26#039;t even submit the application.

Hopefully this helped a little

What debt product could I use to finance the purchase of a car?

I am thinking of buying a new car but i still need about 鎷?,000. I was thinking of getting a personal loan, but i was advised not to (i`m not sure about the reason), but i can`t think of anything else. Do you have any other ideas? Thanks!

What debt product could I use to finance the purchase of a car?

a personal loan will be higher than if you get a secure loan and let the car be the security!!!

What debt product could I use to finance the purchase of a car?

Um. Car loan?

Advice regarding a nightmarish financing situation?

A car I recently bought was stolen before I could buy insurance for it. This combined with a credit score of 550 has apparently made it impossible to find another auto loan.

Over the past two weeks, I%26#039;ve applied with (and been refused by) dozens of banks. Several dealerships advertising bad credit financing help have been unable to find any financing at all, citing my existing car loan as the reason. Although I was originally shooting for an $8000 loan (the value of my stolen car), I%26#039;ve since lowered my expectations to around $4500, with no effect. And all this despite making $2600 per month, and having a cosigner.

Do you think joining a local credit union might improve my chances?

Has anyone out there successfully dealt with a similar problem?

Advice regarding a nightmarish financing situation?

Sorry, I don%26#039;t have an answer to your problem.

In New Zealand all cars are autimatically insured for 24 hours after taking them of the car yard. It is up to you to insure before time runs out.

How long did you have the car before it was stolen?

Good luck

Advice regarding a nightmarish financing situation?

Did you purchase the car that was stolen from a licensed dealer?

Generally speaking the buyer (you) is required to sign an %26quot;agreement to provide insurance%26quot; form AND the dealership is required to verify coverage in order to process the loan (get their money for the car they sold you from the bank) and registration paperwork.

Banks and credit unions require comprehensive (theft) and collision insurance on any auto with a loan against its value. .

As a finance manager I can tell you right off the bat what your credit report says about the loan you had on the car and what you are saying about the car aren%26#039;t the same.

The bank is reporting that you have the car and owe on the car, you%26#039;re saying %26quot;I don%26#039;t have the car and I had no insurance (which you were required to have!)%26quot;.

Was there a police report filed about the theft?

How did you not have insurance if you financed it?

You have to clear that issue up in order to move ahead!

The bank with the loan on it can%26#039;t repo it if they don%26#039;t know where it is so eventually (years) it will just end up being a charged off auto (on your credit report). Once it reaches that point I know banks that will give you another loan but you%26#039;ll need a hefty down payment to get into a decent car (plan on 3k if you want a 10k car!) and the interest rate will be high. Most credit unions have requirements for potential members. If your credit report is horrendous then they will make you clean up some collections before loaning you any money.

Cosigners can only help if their credit is good and/or they are not financially overextended themselves!! Banks are not stupid!

If you can%26#039;t get the issue resolved and reported on your credit report in a way that shows the car is gone and the loan is charged off then you could always try a small buy here pay here place...but that won%26#039;t help you reestablish your credit and you won%26#039;t get as good a car!

Good luck!!

Can I trade in a New 2006 car that I purchased on March 15th of this month already?

I just bought a 2006 Ford Focus on March 15th of this month. It was a bran new car and even now it%26#039;s still farely new cause i%26#039;ve only had it for about 4 months and it only has 6,000 miles on it. My my question is, can I trade it in for a used older model car and just have the difference added into my new loan that I finance with the old car?

Can I trade in a New 2006 car that I purchased on March 15th of this month already?

Can you? Yes. The dealership and finance company will be happy to do it, if your credit is good enough and you%26#039;re buying another new car.

Should you? Absolutely not.

When you take delivery of a new car, it depreciates a tremendous amount. The reason is simple: why would anyone buy a car from you with only 100 miles on it, when they can buy a new one for almost the same amount? The assumption is that you wouldn%26#039;t be selling it so quickly unless (a) something was wrong with it, or (b) you were desperate. In the first case, they don%26#039;t want to buy your problems, and in the second case, they know if you%26#039;re desperate you%26#039;ll accept less than the car is worth.

You%26#039;re obviously not doing this to save money -- the 2006 Focus is not an expensive car, and with the money you%26#039;ll still owe on it after trading, a cheaper car would work out to the same financing amount most likely -- so you either hate the car, or are having problems with it.

If you hate the car: well, you%26#039;ve learned a lesson about how to purchase big expensive things, but in the meantime you have a nice car that%26#039;s still under warranty. Enjoy it as much as you can; things you hate now won%26#039;t bother you much once you get used to them.

Assuming you financed for 5 years with no money down, expect to keep the car for 2-3 years before you can sell it privately for what you owe at that point, and a bit longer if you just want to trade it in.

The next time you%26#039;re thinking about buying a new car, rent one for a week or two; in the short term it%26#039;s expensive to do so, but in the long term it saves you a lot of money and aggravation.

If you%26#039;re having problems with the car: take advantage of your warranty, and keep trying to have the problems fixed. Be aware of the lemon laws in your state, and keep full documentation; if it has a chronic problem that can%26#039;t be fixed after the minimum number of visits and within the allowable time period, they may buy the car back from you -- but don%26#039;t count on it, and you may need a lawyer.

Good luck.

Can I trade in a New 2006 car that I purchased on March 15th of this month already?

Yes but it will cost you big bucks in the long run.

Can I trade in a New 2006 car that I purchased on March 15th of this month already?

You can, but you%26#039;ll be upside down on the deal (you%26#039;ll have financed more than the car is worth.)

Can I trade in a New 2006 car that I purchased on March 15th of this month already?

Yes you can trade your car already. but it would be unfair for you to trade it in that quick. you should atleast give 2 to 3 year before you trade it in to have an even value of the car you bought. or you lose a bit of the car value you bought.

Can I trade in a New 2006 car that I purchased on March 15th of this month already?

youre going to lose alot of money bad idea

Can I trade in a New 2006 car that I purchased on March 15th of this month already?

You really don%26#039;t want to do this. The dealership will rake you across the coals. You will lose thousands of dollars on the trade in. Please for the sake of your finances try to make it at least two years and then try to sell it yourself for what you owe on it.

Can I trade in a New 2006 car that I purchased on March 15th of this month already?

depends on what the value is now on the car and how much the dealer is willing to pay for the car the difference will be added to the car you will get

Can't afford payment on car anymore, What are some suggestions? I owe 6k More then vehicle is w

The vehicle was purchased 2 years ago, at the time i was making triple what im making now. I know its poor financial planning/management. The problem now is, I owe 21k to the finance company but the car is only worth 15500(negative equity). If i sell it, i would have to come up with 6k that i don%26#039;t have at this time or in the near future. What are my options? What are the repercussions if the car is Repoed? Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!

Can%26#039;t afford payment on car anymore, What are some suggestions? I owe 6k More then vehicle is worth (-)equity

If you allow the car to be repossessed, you ruin your credit and will be responsible for the difference between what you owe and what it sells for through auction or other means. You have stated it is only worth $15,500...is that the actual cash value or the trade in value? You may be able to sell it and have less to pay off than you think. Call the finance company and get the loan payoff amount. Then you will know exactly what you are facing. If there is any way to avoid repo....do it. It will cost you a lot in future dealings with a repo on your credit report.

Can%26#039;t afford payment on car anymore, What are some suggestions? I owe 6k More then vehicle is worth (-)equity

Take out a loan for 6k so you can pay it off...making a small payment is better then making a large payment.

Can%26#039;t afford payment on car anymore, What are some suggestions? I owe 6k More then vehicle is worth (-)equity

May want to talk to the finance company. You may get out of it what you can and have them give you an insecure loan on the rest of the loan or if you have anything of value, a secure loan, Don%26#039;t let them re posses it. You still owe the negative equity and they sell it at auction for much less plus lawyer fees.

Can%26#039;t afford payment on car anymore, What are some suggestions? I owe 6k More then vehicle is worth (-)equity

Tough situation. Do you own a home? You can check your local bank or credit union. There is a possibility you could re-finance. YOu don%26#039;t want to have the car repoed. You can forget about financing a car ever again or getting a finance rate in the single digits.

Another option which is a long shot and could get you in the same position down the road, is buy a new car that has a huge rebate like $5000. This will cover your negative equity and you can roll the extra into the new loan. The risk is most vehicles that have huge rebates depreciate quickly. This means that you will owe more then the car is worth for most of the loan. Not a problem if all is smooth in your life but life happens.

How do you add a family member to a car title so they can register and insure in NC?

Bought a car in NC for a family member. Bought outright, not financed. To insure the car in NC, it must be registered there, but I live in FL. I own the title. I will not add the car to my policy, so can I put the person I bought the car for on the title with me so they can register it NC?

How do you add a family member to a car title so they can register and insure in NC?

Yes, the DMV has title change forms and most titles have a change section on the back. Simply add the other person and file the change with the DMV

How do you add a family member to a car title so they can register and insure in NC?

in nc transf titles are free if you go from mother or parent to child saves tax money but you have to pay fo tags Report It

How do you add a family member to a car title so they can register and insure in NC?

Go to the DMV and for a fee, you can have them added to the title.

How do you add a family member to a car title so they can register and insure in NC?

They will have to have both signatures on the registration/title paperwork. If you go to the NC DMV website you should be able to print off the paperwork, fill out your parts, sign it and mail it to your family member. Make yourself the primary and the other person the co-owner. There should be a spot on the paperwork where you can put where the vehicle is housed, make that the NC address. Then they can go and have it registered in NC. To be safe, you might want to mail a copy of your driver%26#039;s license also.

How do you add a family member to a car title so they can register and insure in NC?

The easiest way is to sell them the car for $1.00 and fill out the required forms in florida to transfer the vehicle. when they get to NC it will be mush easier.

How do you add a family member to a car title so they can register and insure in NC?

Both you and the person being added will have to sign the title, and this typically has to be done before a notary. Then for a fee, you can go to NCDMV and have the title changed, then you can register the vehicle.

The person had life insurance on the loan and a beneficiary in event of that persons death, the loan would be paid off. Any excess monies left after the loan has been paid should go to the beneficiary. Should the car be released to the beneficiary as well.

If a person took out a loan with a finance company in which a car was used as collateral dies, who get the car.

The car would pass to the estate of the deceased. The executive/administrator of the deceased estate would be responsible for distribution of assets after debts have been satisfied. If no court recorded executive/adminisrator is acknowledge, then you may petition the deceased county court for the property as the valid beneficiary. Any excess cash proceeds from the loan is yours, however typically credit life insurance policies generally cover the loan balance only and do not provide for excess cash.

If the loan has been paid off completely, the car should be released to the estate. If the beneficiary isn%26#039;t a spouse, the car doesn%26#039;t automatically go to them without some form of will.

I need a car, van, or truck can anyone help?

I live in Danville, Illinois.......I don%26#039;t have very good credit, unfortunately. Does anyone know of any places to get financed for a used car, I tried a lot of places already, but need someone who will work with me on payments...Please don%26#039;t be mean on your answers, I am depressed enough.........Thank-you.....Dianne

you serious?????

If i get a loan from my bank to buy a car, would i need to have full (comprehensive) insurance?

Say i got a 鎷?000 or 鎷?000 loan from my bank and used it to buy a car, would i need to carry comprehensive insurance? Because i know that some finance companies, if they finance you buying a car, you have to have full cover. I only want third party fire and theft (UK!!!)

If i get a loan from my bank to buy a car, would i need to have full (comprehensive) insurance?

No. A loan is not an HP Agreement. so if the car is destroyed and your insurance doesnt cover the accident. you still have to repay the loan.

If i get a loan from my bank to buy a car, would i need to have full (comprehensive) insurance?

Not that this helps you but that is how it is in CT, USA. You have to have full coverage to protect the bank%26#039;s asset. It makes sense that it would be mandatory elsewhere.

If i get a loan from my bank to buy a car, would i need to have full (comprehensive) insurance?

Most definately, unless you want to be left withg a huge debt and no car should anything go wrong....err on the side of caution....

If i get a loan from my bank to buy a car, would i need to have full (comprehensive) insurance?

You would have to check with your bank. Usually when they give you the loan they will tell you if you have to have full coverage on a car. It also depends on how old the car is. If it is a newer model car then they want you to have full coverage.

If i get a loan from my bank to buy a car, would i need to have full (comprehensive) insurance?

I think only for new cars or maybe a over acertain amount. We have similar laws in the US. I just got a loan for a used car and didn%26#039;t have too.

If i get a loan from my bank to buy a car, would i need to have full (comprehensive) insurance?

If you use the car as collateral, they will require full coverage. If you simply got an unsecured personal loan, you could probably get away with the minimal liability type coverage required by law.

If i get a loan from my bank to buy a car, would i need to have full (comprehensive) insurance?

Whenever you finance a car, you might not be aware of it, but somewhere in the fine print you are agreeing to supply comprehensive insurance. Most banks don%26#039;t ever verify that you%26#039;ve actually done this though, because after all, you%26#039;re gonna pay them back no matter what happens to the car whether you like it or not, so it%26#039;s actually to benefit you to get the insurance, not the bank.

Can I return a "new" used car that I got from a dealer on Saturday today?

I financed a %26quot;new%26quot; used car in Washington State on Saturday. The dealer agreed to two checks for the $3,000 down payment. One for 3/27 and one for 4/10. Now the dealer is telling me he has to deposit the second check by 3/31 and can%26#039;t wait until 4/10 because they are a public company. I don%26#039;t know what he means by that exactly.

At any rate, he then tells me it will bounce on the 31st and they will redeposit it on 4/10. Aren%26#039;t I going to get dinged for bouncing a check and aren%26#039;t I going to have to pay a bounced check fee? This doesn%26#039;t sound good or right to me. I feel like they are being shady. I have always written two checks for my down payments and have never had this problem.

Can I and should I just return the car and tell them to get lost?

Can I return a %26quot;new%26quot; used car that I got from a dealer on Saturday today?

OK - the REAL reason he wants to deposit that check on 3/31 is so that it counts in their first-quarter numbers. If they hammer the check in March, they get credit for the sale in March, and thus in Q1.

If he deposits it and it bounces, yes you are getting hit for bounced check fees and all that other crap.

As a dealer - I have to say that it is unethical practices like this that give us all a bad name.

Now, if you try to return the car, they are going to tell you that you are an owner. You signed the contract, you drove the car off, its yours. If they checks bounce, they can try to pursue you for passing a bad check. Its kind of a catch 22.

When you gave them the checks, did you sign anything that said when it would be deposited? At my dealership , we have a form that discloses the exact dates the checks will be deposited. If you have that, then you have an %26#039;out%26#039;. Since THEY are breaching the agreement by cashing the check prior to the agreed date, the contract is void. If you don%26#039;t have that form, there still may be another out . What date did you put on the check? If you wrote 4/10 and they hammer it before then, that is also a breach on their part.

I would go to the dealership, have a frank conversation with the general manager. Tell him that these are the terms you agreed to. If he is not willing to abide by those terms, then give the keys back and stop payment on those checks.

Im sorry you are having a bad experience. Hopefully there are other dealers in your area that are not this unethical.

Can I return a %26quot;new%26quot; used car that I got from a dealer on Saturday today?

You should tell them to screw off if they are able. 3k for a public company is NOT going to make that big of a difference. Did you sign a %26quot;hold check%26quot; agreement? If so, tell them if they violate it you will sue for breach of contract!

Can I return a %26quot;new%26quot; used car that I got from a dealer on Saturday today?

You have agreed to their terms (although shady) and as such have no recourse. If you felt something wasn%26#039;t kosher with the deal, you should not have signed the papers and given them the checks.

Can I return a %26quot;new%26quot; used car that I got from a dealer on Saturday today?

Not unless the dealer offers a return policy in writing. Car deals are final. You should get your finances straightened out before you go buy your next car. You might have an out if it states your down payment arrangement in the contract. If they deposit the checks before the date stated in the contract, that would ostensibly void the contract.

How much would somone have to earn to finance a 30K-35K new car ?

Assuming a 5K down payment and good credit? Car would be Lexus IS250, Infiniti g35 or g37, or BMW 328. Person has no other expenses, no rent, nothing.

How much would somone have to earn to finance a 30K-35K new car ?

Most lenders like to see a PTI (payment to income) ratio in the %26#039;teens, maybe around 15%.

That means that if your payment were, say, 500 the bank would want to see at least $3333.00 a month GROSS income. Keep in mind that they%26#039;ll also look at your credit score and history, plus any other financial obligations.

Seeing as you have no other financial obligations (lucky you!) and if you have a decent to good credit score/report, you should be able to accomplish what you%26#039;re talking about with 3500 a month gross. That%26#039;s 42K a year, give or take a little.

Hope that helps.

How much would somone have to earn to finance a 30K-35K new car ?

It depends on how soon you want to get it paid off. The shorter the plan the lest you%26#039;re actually going to end up paying for the car, but the more you%26#039;re going to pay for the next few years. You want to pay it off as quickly as possible or you%26#039;ll end up paying for lots of interest. I knew somebody who bought an 18,000 vehicle and set up a 5 year plan. He payed 2500 down and will end up paying 1/6 more for everything in the end.

I know I didn%26#039;t answer your question, but just a few things to think about.

How much would somone have to earn to finance a 30K-35K new car ?

On average, for a 60-month term and good credit, assume $20/mo of payment for every $1000 you finance. With $5,000 down on either of the vehicles, you%26#039;re looking at payments between $500 -$600/month. If you can afford that, plus insurance, you%26#039;re golden.

How much would somone have to earn to finance a 30K-35K new car ?

Provided that you have no other expenses, some banks like to see that your total debt obligation does not exceed half of your income. This means that if you have a $600 payment, a bank would like to see at least $1,200 per month in income with no other expenses.

In reality though, I would question whether this is the right thing to do. I%26#039;m assuming that you are young based upon your lack of rent payments. Locking yourself into a five year debt situation in which you may go upside down rather quickly, is really not a great way to start out financially. Can you afford it, maybe. is it smart...probably not.

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

My husband and I are not well on finances and have two cars. Mine will be fixed up by December and should be reliable for the next two years. His could go at anytime.

He seems to think we should lease a used car and trade in one of ours for cash down. It concerns me though. When you have medical bills, emergencies... we still need to go on a honeymoon! And with only one person working I think it would be foolish to buy something... he believes we could afford it I think we would loose it.

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

It all depends on how often you%26#039;d really be using it. If you%26#039;re going to be running around alot then I%26#039;d say it would definitely be a good investment. %26amp; with a newborn there is alot of running back %26amp; forth to the doctor. Even new cars nowadays are so cheap, %26amp; you would definitely be saving on gas. Even just get a newer car for your husband to take to %26amp; from work %26amp; keep the better one of your old ones for emergencies at home will probably save you in the long run. Just sit down, figure out exactly what you can afford, forget about that honeymoon, %26amp; go from there.

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

New car is the last thing I would be worrying about even more so since you both don%26#039;t work. As long as you have a good working car for the person who needs to get to work everyday I wouldn%26#039;t add on the extra cost and worry of a car payment.

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

I would say as long as your car is reliable then wait, having a new born is a huge added expense and with a car payment to it might be to over whelming.

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

Nice car? Not important. Reliable car - very important.

I can%26#039;t think of anything worse than my car breaking down somewhere with my kids in it. I would definitely be conservative with your finances right now. Just my opinion.

Good luck!

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

Skip the honeymoon and get a reliable and safe car! You have precious cargo now!

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

need a honeymoon?? no you don%26#039;t, it would be nice, but reliable transportation is a necessity.

sorry, but forget the honeymoon and get a reliable car - or get both of yours fixed up.

it is much more foolish to spend money on a vacation than on a necessity.

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

skip the honeymoon, get a safe car!!!

I had a volkswagon before my 2nd baby. it was terrible. I did everything I could to get a new safe car. we made sacrifices for a while, but well worth it!!!

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

why do you need the honeymoon right now i would think a good car would come be for a honeymoon after all you have the rest of your life%26#039;s to take a honeymoon but if your unreliable car breaks down in the middle of a high way with your newborn baby in it that would cost you way more then a honeymoon would even you would be paying for that for the rest of your life%26#039;s

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

Honeymoon should be the last thing on the agenda. If your car still needs to be %26quot;fixed up%26quot;, don%26#039;t you think a nicer car that is already reliable would be a good idea? You don%26#039;t have to get a brand new one, but a reliable one. That%26#039;s important with children.

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

dosnt necessarily have to be a NICE car, but more important one that works, one that you dont have to worry about not starting when you are running baby to an emergancy or something (for example) as long as the car works and wont break down on you, i think a new one can wait till you can really afford it.

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

A nice car isn%26#039;t important. A safe reliable car that will last a while is important. If at least one of your cars will last for a while, then I would say that%26#039;s all you need for now.

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

that is tough. This is why I like being a single mom! I make my own choices. I would go with reliable for right now personally and go for fancy later. It would sure suc if a nice looking vehicle turned out to be a lemon,

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

I think even if your car isn%26#039; t that reliable as long as you have a cell phone you should be okay. because if the car breaks down you can call someone to get you.

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

All you need is a safe vehicle.

When we had our first child, we had one vehicle that I thought was safe and another one I thought was iffy. When my son was 2, my husband was driving the %26quot;safe%26quot; vehicle with our son in the back seat and they were t-boned by a GMC Jimmy going 40 miles an hour. Crash test ratings, btw, are generally done at 30 mph.

Anyway, at the last second, my husband saw the other vehicle coming and stepped on the brake so that she%26#039;d hit the driver%26#039;s portion of the vehicle instead of the back seat.

Our vehicle was totaled, but my husband was safe and our child, well-protected in a very good car seat in the middle of the back seat, was perfectly okay. If they would have been in our other vehicle, my husband would have been killed for sure as the bumper of the Jimmy would have gone through the window and hit him in the head.

I have always been very glad that we decided early on that the baby would only travel in our one safe vehicle and not the other one.

So...if you have at least one vehicle that%26#039;s not rusted out and will provide good protection for your baby, I don%26#039;t think you need to get a different car. But if your don%26#039;t have that, I agree with your husband and you need to replace one of them. Leasing probably isn%26#039;t the best idea -- it%26#039;d be cheaper to buy something -- but you should have at least one safe vehicle.

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

That%26#039;s a tough question. Obviously you want a vehicle that is safe for your child. But, if yours will last a while longer, it makes more sense to hold off purchasing. My husband and I drove the crappiest cars the 1st 3.5 years we had children. They would break down, etc. We have just now (4 years into it) purchased a new vehicle. But, we waiting until we could afford the payments. If you can wait, I would. No sense getting yourself into a vehicle you can%26#039;t afford right now...good luck!

Newborn Baby: How important is a nice car??

A %26quot;nice%26quot; car isn%26#039;t important, but a reliable one is. My car is a crappy %26#039;93 Chevy wagon, it sucks, but it works. What you may want to do instead of spending extra money leasing a car, use that money to fix up the ones you already have. That way you%26#039;re not paying monthly for something when you don%26#039;t need to.

Financing problem?

4 yrs. ago while working in singapore,i borrowed from financing agency for my cousin%26#039;s car loan.its about to get paid in 6 repayments.when i went to stay with my wife here in USA,he stopped paying the debt.now the financing bank is running after me since it is under my own name.however, im no longer living in my hometown in the philippines.my cousin who%26#039;s staying at my place received lots of demand letters and even thretening to sue me in court.is this possible?whereas the company and transactions were all issued and signed in singapore?i hesitate to pay them back because i never use a penny out of the loan.now im trying to collect money from my cousin but it seems impossible because he is out of job.and we dont even have any signed agreement (between me and mu cousin).one thing is im already a permanent resident in US.is it true that after 4 yrs the debt will get close?

Financing problem?

They will put it as a write off, then sell it to a collection agency who in return sell it again. They do this to keep it active. They can sue you and it doesn%26#039;t matter where you lived or live right now. You did borrow the money in your name no matter whether you used any of it. Your cousin should be looking for a job to pay you back. Your best bet is talk to a lawyer about the laws there in Singapore. Never loan or co-sign a note for someone it can hurt your credit plus you will have to pay it back.

Financing problem?

Simple solution. Make the 6 payments, reposses the car from your cousin and sell it to pay yourself back. Or reposses the car first and sell it to make the 6 payments.

If the financing company is in the US the debt never gets closed. But depending on what state you live in, they cant sue you for the debt after 4 years. I believe its 4 years after your last payment though, not 4 years from the opening of the account. They can however put marks on your credit report for the rest of your natural life even when they cant sue you.

Remember that if the loan is in your name, the loan people still have the title and will release it only to you when the loan is paid.

If the financing company is not in the US and the car is in the philippines, then disregard this whole thing because i dont know how it works over there.

Does any one know how to get a car with bad or no credit?

Me and my husband have just started a family and need a bigger vehicle. He has no credit and I have paid off two vehicles but have tons of medical bills on my credit. We have about 3000 and a trade in to put down. Does any one know of a place that helps finance to get a car with no credit? Please help. Ive tried a few that advertise it but they never seem legit. I know there has to be a way, there are alot of people swimming in debt with nice cars. Please help!!!

Does any one know how to get a car with bad or no credit?

FInd a private party selling is your best bet, as you don%26#039;t bring much to the table with 3000 and a trade in. In the situation you have described, we advertise at our lot, bad credit, no problem we can get you done! Problem is, with bad credit, you have to bring it to the table to get a car. We can overcome bad credit, but it takes cash often. Banks will require 25% or more down as they are taking a chance on you and past history shows them you are a high risk. When thy write a loan they will write it for 110 to 120% if the car sometimes, if you have good credit, if your credit is bad they will not do this. They have started to tighten their belt writing car loans in the last 2 years as threr have been way more repo%26#039;s recently.

Does any one know how to get a car with bad or no credit?

You have enough money to pay cash for a car. There are plenty of good cars out there for $3000.

Does any one know how to get a car with bad or no credit?

Post a flyer at some local churches or library. Someone there may be wanting to get rid of their minivan and take pitty on your situation and cut you a good deal. otherwise, you are not in a good position to get a new car with your financial status. Especially if you already have big medical debt. Not what you wanted to hear, but should fit well with your situation.

Does any one know how to get a car with bad or no credit?

Not sure where your from but there is a place in australia called motor finance wizard that i know give gauranteed finance as long as you buy a car from one of their car yards. I am not sure of their interest rates or anything though. The worst thing is with a bad, or no credit history you will get stung with high interest. Good luck

What is a good cheap car for an 18 year old?

should i get it financed or get a car loan

What is a good cheap car for an 18 year old?

Reliant Regal or Citroen 2CV.

What is a good cheap car for an 18 year old?

anything japanese

What is a good cheap car for an 18 year old?

i would look at something with safety in mind first. then realiable and not too fast.

how about a honda accord, toyota camry or ford taurus or 500?

its best to buy used and not finance.

What is a good cheap car for an 18 year old?

You can get a %26quot;cheap car%26quot; for under $1500 even 100 or less if you look right.

A reliable purchase will set you back about $4000 if you want one you won%26#039;t have to keep repairing. Even on the common brands 4000 will get you a car that should meet your needs.

Make sure to know everything about the car model. It could be fine at the moment but it could be a lemon, that%26#039;s also why it could be cheap. A lemon is sometihng on it has to be constantly repaired/the same part/faulty.

Just research, and do your homework and you should be fine. On knowing which car make to get.

What is a good cheap car for an 18 year old?

It Sounds like you are really screwed up by this problem. Hope you could get good luck here.http://carloan.onlineidea.info/bad-credi...

What is a good cheap car for an 18 year old?

What happens if you're paying on a car note, but do not have car insurance anymore?

Will the Finance company take your car?

What happens if you%26#039;re paying on a car note, but do not have car insurance anymore?

Cwboy Bil is correct, but he should have added that %26#039;venders single interest%26#039; insurance does not cover Bodily Injury/Property Damage. You, as the registered owner would be responable for any and all damage to Persons and or Property arisineg from an accident. Also, you would be cited for not having insurance at the time of the accident.

What happens if you%26#039;re paying on a car note, but do not have car insurance anymore?

YES! If your contract states that you MUST keep full coverage insrance, even dropping down to liability will allow them to REPO your car due to breech of contract.

What happens if you%26#039;re paying on a car note, but do not have car insurance anymore?

Since the finance company owns your car, once they find out that you don%26#039;t have insurance on it they will obtain insurance themselves. The kicker is, they aren%26#039;t gonna look for the best deal and they are gonna charge you.

So, the lesson here is: get insurance yourself.

btw, don%26#039;t get in a wreck while the car in uninsured. you%26#039;ll be in a world of financial hurt.

What happens if you%26#039;re paying on a car note, but do not have car insurance anymore?

they can demand payment in full due to a breach of contract . besides if you have a accident you will have to pay the loan off - that is why they want you to have a insurance policy -to protect them not you!!

What happens if you%26#039;re paying on a car note, but do not have car insurance anymore?

First the bank will start adding insurance to your loan and your payment will go up to match that insurance amount. Believe me it is real high.

Go get that insurance on the car it will be well worth it.

If the car gets stolen you will still be paying off a car you no longer have.

If you get into an accident you the cost will be well worth the money you spend on that insurance.

What happens if you%26#039;re paying on a car note, but do not have car insurance anymore?

Most companies will place a %26#039;vendors single interest%26#039; policy on your vehicle and charge the preimums to you in the form of higher monthly car payments. This only covers the car itself in case it burns or is in a crash. If not, then they will just repo the vehicle, auction it off and sue you for the difference of what it sells for and what you owe.

Much cheaper to simply keep insurance...

What happens if you%26#039;re paying on a car note, but do not have car insurance anymore?

The answer lies in your contract. It is unlikely they will take your car, because then they stop making money on your payments, but they prob. DO have that option.

More likely they are allowed, under the contract, to place the insurance FOR you and then add it to your payment.

The problem is that the insurance will only cover the cost of the loan.. not any accident. AND.. it will cost you an arm and a leg.. (definately more then if you bought it yourself).

Add to that the potential risk you are taking to yourself and others by not having ANY insurance, and the question does not become what they will do, but why don%26#039;t you.

One accident and you will be paying someone else%26#039;s bill for a looooong time.

.

What happens if you%26#039;re paying on a car note, but do not have car insurance anymore?

Got hit by an uninsured motorist TWICE, first one= my georgous 84 Monte Carlo SS---- TOTALED, my loss, guy could not afford insurance, and had NOTHING to sue him for, he walked away with a FINE totalling $450.00! Second time= car totaled + wife and granddaughter in Hospital three days, at our expense! Again, the other driver walked away with a $450.00 fine. Moral to the story, lowlifes who do NOT carry insurance walk away pretty much scott-free, we, the insured, pay the price! Hate folks that think all I have to do with my retirement funds is PAY for vehicles THEY wreck! Rather selfish of them, I think.

How do car loans work?

Ok, well here%26#039;s the deal I%26#039;m looking for a used car and I have no idea how car loans work. I know you get a loan through a bank and all that jazz, car dealerships work with banks/finance companies that%26#039;s great. But, what I want to know is how would it work out if I%26#039;m trying to buy from a private seller like some dude who wants to sell his car through craigslist. The car is $15200 but, it%26#039;s from a private seller I don%26#039;t understand how it would work to buy the car from this guy, are private sellers expecting like all the money in cash? Or would it work like suppose I make a $3000 down payment and get a loan from the bank for $12200 would the bank just hand me $12200 so I could give it to the private seller in cash and deal with the bank for the loan? Could it work this way or am I being an ignorant naive jackass who has no idea what the hell he%26#039;s talking about?

How do car loans work?

Go to KBB.com and NADA.com and price out the Car. The back will only lend on so much of the value. I would check out a Credit Union they have the best rates. The banks will go off the kbb price of retail and the car price will have to be around it. craigslist is a cash based deal but if you so to speak get preaproved and have the cash from the bank or credit union then you have a new car. Good luck.

How do car loans work?

If you want to finance a car you purchase from a private seller you just need to get pre-approved. This can be through your credit union, bank, or a finance company (listed in order of lower to higher interest rate you will pay). The pre-approval will probably be conditioned on 1) the maximum amount you can borrow regardless of the value of the vehicle you are buying 2) the percentage of the car value they will be willing to finance. You can only finance whichever of the above two conditions represents the lower $ situation.

Your preapproval is the lending institutions guarantee to fund the sale once they receive the title and can record the lien. You should also be prepared with the phone number and a contact name at the lending institution that the seller can use to verify the preapproval is legit and not somthing you got at Joe%26#039;s Copy Shop for $5.

Most private sellers should accept this as long as the lending institution is a bank, credit union, or well known and established finance company. Don%26#039;t expect them to accept a preapproval from Uncle John%26#039;s Hog Farm and Auto Finance.

The loan officer at the bank, credit union, or finance company can walk you through the specifics of the sale and actions required for final funding but it is not painful or difficult.

How do car loans work?

Here are the steps:

1) Inspect the car. If everything checks out go to step two.

2) Get a Bill of Sale from the seller that lists the VIN, mileage, sale price, and equipment.

3) Take that to your bank and apply for an auto loan.

4) Call the DMV and ask how much taxes/title/license will be based on the selling price.

5) If approved on the loan, borrow 12,200 + the amount you get from the DMV.

6) Take the bank check and enough cash to the buyer that will equal $15,200.

7) Get the title from the seller and go directly to the DMV to start the title transfer process, get plates, and pay taxes.

8) Take the DMV paperwork to the bank. They will want to see the title application.

9) Enjoy your new car.

Brand new car deposit...?

Right so I ordered a brand new car 12 weeks ago, they%26#039;ve told me I can pick it up on Sunday morning.

I went in there about 10 weeks ago to make sure all the finance is ok and everything...

They told me the finance company are only happy to pay for most of it - so I would have to put down a 1579 deposit.

In the show room, on the day, he wrote on a piece of paper

Deposit: 1579, PX 200, - 鎷?379

(crappy old car only 鎷?00 part exchange)

I got a phone call today saying I can pick up my car - and they checked the finance again... apparently it%26#039;s 1779 minus my PX - making 1579 to pay....

Can you guys give me some ideas of what to say on Sunday, i%26#039;ve got this piece of paper as proof, and for 10 weeks i%26#039;ve been aiming for 鎷?379... do you think i can haggle some free rubber matts and a tank of petrol out of this...?

Brand new car deposit...?

I would go ahead and write the check out for 1379.00 and tell them if they want the deal, here it is, otherwise no deal. Stick to your guns.

The loser salesman will go have some imaginary conversation with his manager who will then come out and yell at you or something, insult saying he thought you came here to make a deal or some other crap. Don%26#039;t let it get to you.

If a salesman is that close to payday, they%26#039;ll eat 200 bucks, if not, walk away. It will hurt them more than it will you. The way dealships are taking it on the chin they%26#039;ll bend. This is business not a birthday party.

Brand new car deposit...?

It%26#039;s a game very common in selling new cars. You%26#039;ve been waiting all this time and finally get the phone call. Oh, and by the way, it%26#039;s a little more than you were told.

Here%26#039;s a check for 1379, as we talked about and agreed upon. Be ethical and take the check, since that%26#039;s the number we agreed upon, or be greedy and I walk out of here to another car dealer. Your choice.

Since all you have is that piece of paper, that means there is no binding contract so there isn%26#039;t a damn thing they can do about it. It%26#039;s because there is no contract that they are free to try and pull this little scam to suck a little more cash out of your pocket into their own.

Who's car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It's in his name. I have 3 children

I had a car before I got with my husband. He didn%26#039;t. The car that I had gave me major problems so I had to spend a lot of money to get It fixed a couple of times. Major problems to where I felled behind on my payments. So I let the car go and had the finance company pick it up which caused it to be repossed. At the time he was my fiance. I told him, when I get my income tax check I want to get another car. I asked him to do me a favor by putting the car in his name because I had that repossesion on my record. When I received my income tax the dealer came out to my house because he wanted to see the money up front. I was not feeling well that day so I showed him the money and let my fiance go with him to look at the car that I seen on the internet. All went well. Now he wants to take the car from me. We both made payments. I told him I will pay him back the money he put on payments. I can%26#039;t get to work or take my kids to school because he took the car.I plan to take him to court.

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

it%26#039;s in his name, unfortunatetly, he will get away with it himself...

unless there is proof of direct deposit/s to the new loan came from you...

it will get messy in court and will cost YOU money

do you have any receipts of payment in your own name? that may work!

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

His car

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

Sorry but it sounds like the court would judge the car to be his.

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

It%26#039;s his. You might be able to get a judge to grant you the down payment IF you can prove that you %26quot;loaned%26quot; him the money. Otherwise, you have no case... and the car is still his.

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

sorry but it is in his name as soon as you got the car should have re-done so it was in your name

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

what you did in many states is illegal

called a straw purchase

if found the finance contract will be null and void

and you have a 2nd repo in the waiting

as long as he has name on the loan

technically it%26#039;s his car

so unless you got cancled check for payments made

you could very well lose out

so kids..

let this be a lesson to you

NEVER mak major purchases for another unless you are married

engaged does not count

and the courts could care less

once married it becomes BOTH of your debts!

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

His name, his car. Sorry.

The only way u can claim it is if u both refinance it and put your name on it. Otherwise, it%26#039;s his car.

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

by law the car is in his name not much you can do..but to take him to court and have the judge tell you who the car belongs too

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

Unfortunately, the car is his. It is it in his name, and he bought it while you were engaged, not married, so you are not entiltled to half. It does not matter how much money you put towards it.

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

It%26#039;s all about the paperwork. It%26#039;s in his name. The car is his. Save your time and money for Your car. Learn from this experience. Not everyone is worthy of your trust.

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

If his name is on the title, then it is considered his car. Even if you paid on it, when you allowed him to put his name on the title, you gave him ownership. So sad and toooooooooo Bad.

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

If you%26#039;re married and getting a divorce - then the car and any other assets will be divided in your marital settlement agreement.

If you%26#039;re just separating - then the car is his until you settle it in your divorce.

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

The car is in his name so there is not much you can do about until you present your case in court.

He sounds like parasite, caring for no one but himself.

You will be better off without him once you get over this hurdle.

Good Luck.

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

It%26#039;s in his name. You better get used to riding the bus.

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

If its in his name, its his car. I was gonna say...you could have gone to the courthouse and got it switched into your name, but if youre having relationship problems, (which it sounds like you are) then youre screwed.

I would get a lawyer or call one and get some quick advice on your options.

Im sure youre mad as hell, I would be.

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

Court is a great idea!!!!

I did the same thing with an ex-boyfriend!!!

I put $3000 down on a car and he made the payments; we split and he had made about $1200 in payments....he had to pay me

$1800 for my share!!!

You should have got your name in title, because legally it belongs to him; but hopefully you can get your $ back!!

A Hard lesson learned; I know!!

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

community property is what this is called and you need to file seperation papers to frez all assets . if your still married and no one has filed papers then he can just get in car and drive away and police cant do anything because its in his name here and also community property . you need to see lawyer fast like now lol . you can get the car in divorce prosedings and use it until court rules on divorce but youll have to get that paper filed or he can come and get it . if he dose then use this when divorce comes up and ask for money for your inconvenince . in meantime arm yourself with knowledge about moves you can make and what he can and cant do about assets . make your lawyer fees part of divorce settlement . dont let him bully you but be fair if need be .good luck

Who%26#039;s car Is It? I put the dowm payment on the car,but It%26#039;s in his name. I have 3 children, he has none.

he totally screwed you over!! so your married, right? well, if your married, you might be able to get this car ,since you have the kids.talk to an attorney, and see what your options are.

Does anyone know the average pay of a finance manager for a car dealership?

I realize it varies upon the state and size of place.. just looking for a ball park.. we are in central fl if that helps.

Does anyone know the average pay of a finance manager for a car dealership?

You might want to check it out on Salary.com. That might give you some kind of guidance.

In middle GA, the salary for a locally privately owned dealership is around $35K-$40K per year. A big dealership like Ford or Chevy can fetch you about $40k with bonuses that can get you a total of $50-$60K. You have to be able to sell the higher interest rate loans to your customers and extended warranty packages to get the bonuses.

Size of the dealership is a factor. Location in the US is a factor.

Does anyone know the average pay of a finance manager for a car dealership?

at least 50k

Is there anything i can do if the finance company sold the car for 2000 dollars les than its value?

yes...in such instances the finance company has a legal obligation to mitigate damages...they happen to be your damages...if the sale was unreasonably low..they can be pursued legally

Is there anything i can do if the finance company sold the car for 2000 dollars les than its value?

there in lies the problem of having your car repo%26#039;d. They can sell it for a %26quot;reasonable%26quot; price. Most times when an automobile is repo%26#039;d it is sold at an auction and the finance company can care less what it is sold for because all they want is some of the money back now, you will be held liable for the remaining balance.

Next time pay your car note on time

Am I going to be able to get financing? 1st time buyer? Cheated by the dealership.?

So, I went to a car dealership because my car was on its last legs, and I purchased a 2003 VW Passat, fully loaded. I live in Washington state, and I guess in WA, the dealerships have 4 days to find you financing. I inquired about this, but my financing guy told me not to worry, that I fit the bill perfectly for a first time buyer (I have good credit, had some money down, and a stable job.) Well, 4 days goes by and the dealership calls me and tells me that I have to bring the car back, because they couldn%26#039;t get me financed. Well, I was devestated. When I got there, they told me that they had got me financed for a brand new Kia (it was a Kia dealership), which sounded fishy to me because the Kia was more than the Passat. I would never buy a Kia, and left. My question is, if they couldn%26#039;t get me financed for the Passat, but instead for a Kia, if I went to the VW dealership, do you think I could get financing for a Passat?

Am I going to be able to get financing? 1st time buyer? Cheated by the dealership.?

A KIA dealership will have an easier time getting you financed on the KIA, simply because the finance institution for KIA is more aggressive on their own cars. VW finance will also be more aggressive on their cars. Go to the VW dealership and try to buy a similar used Passat, and hopefully VW will approve you. A new one would be too much money.......If that fails, go to this website to find your local credit union and join. http://www.creditunion.coop/cu_locator/i... they have very good rates and are pretty aggressive towards auto financing.

Am I going to be able to get financing? 1st time buyer? Cheated by the dealership.?

It is harder to get financed for a used car than a new one at those kinds of dealerships .. you might can get financed for a vw at the vw lot as long as you get a new one... good luck

Am I going to be able to get financing? 1st time buyer? Cheated by the dealership.?

It doesn%26#039;t sound normal. I would see what happens at the VW dealer. Also...don%26#039;t get emotional about the purchase. When you do, the dealer can take advantage of it. %26quot;I just love the car. I have to have it%26quot; is just what they want to hear.

Am I going to be able to get financing? 1st time buyer? Cheated by the dealership.?

There%26#039;s a decent chance they weren%26#039;t lying to you. Here%26#039;s what happens: the bank looks at you and you%26#039;re credit, the car%26#039;s model year (the age) and the mileage. As you may be aware, the older and higher the mileage car, the bigger the risk it is. Therefore, the bank wants a bigger downpayment, higher interest and a shorter loan length. At this point, you will see the bank judge the monthly payment and the odds of you being able to afford it.

As an example, a new Kia for $12k could be cheaper to finance (on a monthly basis) than a 5 year old $10k VW. This is because the Kia might be financed for 6 years and the VW only for 4 years.

If you want more detail, sit down with a banker or credit union loan officer. Alternatively, check out the loan calculators at www.bankrate.com. Good luck!!

Am I going to be able to get financing? 1st time buyer? Cheated by the dealership.?

I think you would be able to finance thu VW however your bank might have a better rate, so check with them first.

It%26#039;s likely the dealership had more room to work with the Kia than the used Passat. Don%26#039;t buy a Kia!
